Suzi Morris is a London based Fine Artist and former Art Director for Film.
Her principal concerns are an engagement with the concept of ‘air’ and ‘space’ in creating oil paintings that represent infinity. Considering moments of atmospheric phenomena both internal and external, Suzi defines spatial planes through ‘punctuations’ of parallel lines - a key aspect operating throughout both her series ‘Fumarole’ and 'Virus’. These lines function in both defining and challenging the space and our perception of it, in an attempt to create a tension between beauty and anxiety. This, an attempt to underwrite the authenticity of her experiences that slip beyond conventional understanding, making visible a reality that we can neither see nor describe but whose existence we can question.
Suzi is currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Fine Art at the University of East London (UEL) with the kind support of Schmincke and da Vinci and holds a Masters Degree in Fine Art from the City & Guilds of London Art School.
